Ms Vagavi Prakash, has served as a lecturer at Gedu College of Business Studies, Royal University of Bhutan, Bhutan for seven years. She completed her graduation in Economics with distinction from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai, India, and Post Graduation in Economics with distinction from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. She was awarded with a prestigious UGC-Junior Research Fellowship in Economics, which is every year awarded to few deserving post graduate students in India. Also awarded with a Service Award for Contribution in Nation Building of Bhutan, celebrating 50 years of Indo-Bhutan Diplomatic Relationship in 2019.She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Spanish. She has successfully completed her M.Phil. Coursework in International Economics. Also taught at National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla Pune. Whenever time permits, she tries to render her services as a volunteer at Sadhna forest,Pondicherry,Roots Institute of Wisdom and Culture,Bodhgaya,Maatram,Old Age Home,Pondicherry, Municipal School,Mumbai and Xaviers Resource Center for Visually Challenged. She has written articles in Bhutan’s National Daily (The Journalist). Has held various leadership positions such as Coordinator of Committee on Sexual Harassment, Curriculum designing committee for M. COM and B. A. Economic (H) program, Module Coordinator for Management and Theory Practices module. . Her areas of research interest are development economics,labour economics, behavioural economics and spiritual economics
