India is facing a crisis of unprecedented proportions. While our Constitution guarantees all of us Equality, Justice, Fraternity and Liberty, these are distant ideals for many of us. Children living in poverty are often worst hit by this with their education and therefore their life choices being severely hampered. With this deeply disturbing situation with a compassionate and kind heart, we embarked upon a journey to make a difference.
It will take a movement of leaders working together at all levels of the system to provide an excellent, equitable education to all of India’s children. One that will guarantee them Liberty, Equality, Fraternity and Justice. Rustum Foundation is committed to fuelling India with this leadership.
Rustum Foundation was conceived in 2022 and it began its beautiful beginning in September 2023.
Education is our focus. We believe it is the key to breaking the poverty cycle and sustainable development. Every child matters and has the right to an education. We take a holistic approach to ensure the success and sustainability of our education outreach initiative.
We are guided by the belief that every child matters, and we believe everyone should have equal access to our programs, regardless of their gender, ability, ethnicity, culture, sexuality, or religion. We apply an inclusive lens to our programming.
“ Learning for All means ensuring that all children and youth—not just the most privileged or the smartest—can not only go to school, but also acquire the knowledge and skills that they need to lead healthy, productive lives and secure meaningful employment. The three pillars of our strategy are: Invest early. Invest smartly. Invest for all. “ – Achieving Learning for All- World Bank Education Strategy 2020.
Our vision is to change the future for children and communities living in poverty through education. As we progress our long term vision is to start a school, raise orphan children and also expand our services in conducting social research and become a renowned social think tank in India.
